Uncharted 3 Collector’s Edition Includes Treasure Trove Of Memorabilia

Come this November there will be an easy way to spot gamers who bought the Collector’s Edition of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception – They’ll be the ones wearing the replica Nathan Drake Belt Buckle.

The Collector’s Edition comes in a functional Traveling Chest package that houses all the exclusive Uncharted loot this collection has to offer:

- An steelbook case containing a copy of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.

- A full-size replica of Drake’s necklace, including Sir Francis Drake’s ring.

- A full-size replica of Drake’s belt-buckle which sports a lucky horseshoe.

- A Nathan Drake statue produced by Sideshow Collectibles.

Now that you know what you’re getting in the Collector’s Edition you need to decide where to get it. Naughty Dog says they learned from the negative response fans had to retailer specific pre-order bonuses for Uncharted 2 and they’re upping the ante this time around. Each major retailer nets you something exclusive and useful to the multiplayer.

If you pre-order at Amazon you will receive three bonuses: one Kickback and two Weapon Mods. You get the Carpetbomb Kickback which allows you to toss out three grenades in a single throw to overwelm your opponents with multiple explosions. You also get the Clip-Size Weapon Mod which increases the size of your bullet clip for the Para- 9 and the G-MAL.

Pre-ordering at GameStop gets you early access to the Creepy Crawler Kickback, a perk that allows you to “turn into a swarm of deadly creatures” when you’ve scored a certain number of medals.

Pre-ordering at Wal-Mart grants you the Callout Weapon Mod letting you equip the AK-47 with a laser-sight that lets your teammates know the location of the enemy you’re currently targeting.

Finally, Best Buy gives you the Regeneration Booster early, which increases your healing rate in multiplayer.

About Dynamite Jack

I began playing video games in 1981 at age five on my family's Atari 800 and have been hooked ever since. I cut my teeth on such non-classics as Star Raiders and Salmon Run before moving to the NES I got for Christmas in 1987. (Yes, I had R.O.B. the Robot)

Over the years I've survived numerous console wars like the SNES vs Genesis, PlayStation vs. N64, and the brutal Dreamcast vs. PS2. I'm the proud owner of all of today's consoles and the only preference I have is for great games. Fanboys begone! I like liking things :)
