Call of Duty: Black Ops 'Rezurrection' DLC due August 23 on 360

Ready for more zombies?

The fourth Call of Duty: Black Ops DLC is entitled "Rezurrection" and will be released August 23 on Xbox Live. Rezurrection consists of four remastered co-op Zombie maps: Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa and Der Riese along with a new map called "Moon".

You might recognize that the four remastered maps were previously included with the Hardened and Prestige editions of Black Ops. If you purchased one of those editions then you will recieve the new "Moon" map for free via redownloading the DLC in the new pack. Otherwise you can expect to pay the standard $15 (1200 MS pts) for Rezurrection.

Also included with Rezurrection is a premium Zombies Moon Theme and an enhanced Zombies Soundtrack.

Dead Rising 2: Case West now available on Xbox Live

Dead Rising 2: Case West

Capcom sent a reminder that the downloadable epilogue Dead Rising 2: Case West is now up on Xbox Live for 800 MS points.

Case West concludes the story of Chuck Greene as he teams with Frank West, the protagonist from the original Dead Rising, as they battle through the Phenotrans Facility just outside Fortune City.

The story picks up immediately after the events of Dead Rising 2 and features two player co-op with one player taking on the role of Chuck while the other controls Frank West. Frank can use his camera to gather evidence proving Phenotrans role in the zombie outbreak. Capcom says you can expect to see cameos from other characters from the first Dead Rising.

As with the Case Zero prequel, Dead Rising 2: Case West is a standalone release that doesn't require a copy of Dead Rising 2 to be played.

Review: Alan Wake "The Writer" DLC Episode

If you’ve read my reviews of Alan Wake and the first Episode of DLC “The Signal”, you know that I’m an enormous fan of this game. No other title this year has resonated with me in such a profound way as the story of Mr. Wake and the quirky town of Bright Falls.

“The Writer” is the final downloadable episode for Alan Wake and it aims to conclude it's fantastic story. This DLC comes with a 560 MS pts price tag ($7), but is it worth the price of admission?

Review: Alan Wake "The Signal" DLC

The Signal is the first DLC "Special Episode" for Remedy's Alan Wake on the Xbox 360. It picks up where the story left off in the main game so obviously it's meant to be played after finishing it.

If you haven't played Alan Wake (what's wrong with you?) then you can read my review and find out what all the fuss is about.

I've decided the best thing to do is review The Signal in two ways. The first is a spoiler-free answer for people wondering if it's worth their time. The second is a detailed discussion of the plot in The Signal meant to be read after you've finished it. I just had to share it with somebody :)

What follows first is my spoiler-free review.

Alan Wake The Signal DLC Trailer

Hopefully this won't get lost in all the noise from E3 today, but I'm posting it here just to make sure it doesn't.

Here is a brief glimpse of The Signal, the first DLC episode for Alan Wake arriving on July 27 on Xbox Live.

Now I'm not sure when this is occuring, during or after the events of the game, but we see Alan and his agent Barry wondering through the woods and doing what they do best: killing freaks and making jokes. Let's hope they reach that sawmill.

All we know for sure is that it will be free to anyone who purchased a new copy of Alan Wake thanks to the code inside every copy of the game.

See you on the 27th.

The Lost and Damned GTA IV DLC Review

As you probably know, The Lost and Damned is the first of two DLC add-ons for mega franchise Grand Theft Auto IV. Instead of resuming the role of Niko Bellic, you play as Johnny Klebowitz, a member of the Lost & Damned biker gang. You're still in Liberty City however and your story does overlap with Niko's. You'll even replay some of Niko's missions from Johnny's point of view.

Fallout 3 Operation Anchorage DLC Review

I've played through the Operation Anchorage DLC for Fallout 3 and I thought I'd give a quick spoiler-free review of what you can expect from this 4 hour expansion. Having already finished Fallout 3 once, I began a new game in anticipation of the Anchorage content. That way I could experience it from a mid-level character perspective and still reap the benefits of the XP it would offer. My plan didn't go well and I quickly found myself sucked back into the Fallout universe. The next thing I knew I was approaching a level 17 character and downloading even more content from Xbox Live.
